Yume Nikki 3D
A downloadable game for Windows
Yume Nikki 3d is a fan game based on Yume Nikki universe (if you haven't played the original Yume Nikki, I highly recommend it). The game is not a simple 3d remake, but rather a spin-off to the original, with lots of extra content. Instead of using RPG Maker, I used an old 3d engine from the 90's.
The package also includes Isolated DLC. Only play this DLC after you've completed the main game.
Note that it's not necessary to be a fan of the original game to enjoy YN3D. The concept is understandable and it's easy to pick up and play.
You play as a little girl Madotsuki. The game starts in your room. You can use the bed to enter the dream world or desk to save your game. The bed can transport you into a dream world where the majority of the game takes place, and your task is to find six "effects" and three keys in this world. Some of the effects are requied to progress in few areas of the game. The most important effects, such as bicycle and the knife, are hidden in the locations connected to Nexus (the hub location). Most locations in Dream world are connected by series of portals and there's no boundaries. You are free to explore the game world.

E - use, open, pick up
Shift - use effect

F12 - take a screenshot

Install instructions
Unzip and run Yume Nikki 3d.exe.
Use 7-Zip if you don't know how to unzip files.

Love this game, it makes me happy inside, but for somereason I cannot open the menu or wakeup so I get stuck forever sometimes

according to the comment section noone has addressed my problem
the game won't close unless you end it's process in task manager if you want to end it outside the game
also why does it even need a process to keep it running
does it really crash that often
This happens when you try to open something outside of game (such as pressing the windows key or having another program open on top while you are playing a game. Maybe turning a second screen too).
When this happens, you just press ctrl+alt+delete and then click cancel, it's a failsafe for eduke to exit in case a game gets your computer stuck. The other way to exit the game is to just hit enter and press exit, if you are not stuck.
Additionally, if anyone had the same problem as me, where your screen was higher than the resolution you set or higher than your pc, just set a lower resolution. It's different for each pc and the best resolution it's usually the largest, unless you want the 4:3 black bars on each side style
This game has amazing music and great, original scenery. I love all the Gary Numan music, and the black and white worlds that seem like something from the original game. It's a shame it won't be updated.
